The Kaesong Folkloric Hotel has 21 buildings constructed in a traditional style with concave roofs covered in tile. Sleeping rooms have traditional ondol floors covered with mats. In cold weather the floors are heated by flues under the floor in a traditional Korean style. Guests sleep on thin mattresses on the floor.
The hotel restaurant serves famous Kaesong dishes such as ginseng and chicken bouillon, beef soup, mudfish soup, glutinous rice mixed with honey and fruit, sweet panfried rice cakes set jujubes, as well as Western dishes. It also has a small souvenir shop and bookstore.
