Itineraries for North Korea
Asia Pacific Travel has planned the following special North Korea tour itineraries for the 2009 season. We have been told by the North Koreans that American tourists will again be allowed to visit during the Arirang performance season which will be held from August 10th through September 30th. (Initially we had been told Americans might be able to visit in the spring from April 10th through 20th, during the 11th Kimilsungia Festival, but this did not materialize.)
Asia Pacific Travel can also arrange for tourists from countries other than America or South Korea to visit any time of the year, either in groups or individually.
Asia Pacific Travel's tours to North Korea are based on over 13 years experience working with North Korea. We have created 17 tours with 4 different itineraries, each routing indicated by a specific letter following a sequence number, e.g., 4A, 4B, 5C, 6D, etc.
The itineraries with an "A" ("Highlights of Korea") are all 11-day tours going to North Korea via Seoul and Beijing and are geared for those with a greater interest in Korea who want to see the highlights of both North Korea and South Korea.
The itineraries with a "B" ("Highlights of North Korea") are all 8-day tours going to North Korea via Beijing and are geared for those with less time and/or money and who are only interested in seeing North Korea.
The itineraries with a "C" ("Korea in Depth") are all 15-day tours going to North Korea via Seoul and Beijing with added stops in Shenyang and Dandong and are for those wishing for a more in-depth understanding of Korea and the Korean peninsula. Tour 8C is a deluxe version of this itinerary. Please contact our office for details.
The itineraries with a "D" ("North Korea in Focus") are all 12-day tours going to North Korea via Beijing with added stops in Shenyang and Dandong and are geared for those with a greater interest in Korea and China.
All our North Korea tours are listed chronologically by their suggested departure date from North America. Participants are welcome to join any of our North Korea tours in either Beijing or Seoul and do not have to depart from any specific city(ies).
Please click on any North Korea tour to open an Adobe pdf packet/brochure with a detailed tour itinerary, a price, a terms and conditions sheet, a reservation/deposit form, a sheet with other useful information, and sample and real Chinese and North Korean visa application forms. If you don't have Adobe Reader, you can download and install the free progam by clicking on its icon at the top or bottom of these listings. If you are unable to, or do not wish to view these itineraries in Adobe Reader, please phone or email the Asia Pacific Travel office and we will be happy to mail, fax or personally email you copies in other formats. To confirm your reservation for a specific tour, please fill out the Reservation/Deposit form found in the Adobe packet of materials for that specific tour, and then return the completed form with your deposit to the Asia Pacific Travel office.
As the most experienced and only officially recognized American tour operator to North Korea Asia Pacific Travel is confident you will find our tours well planned and comprehensive, giving you as excellent an introduction to North Korea as you can get in 5 days there. We look forward to providing you with a truly memorable travel experience.
